David Beckham’s New Ad for Armani, Union Square, San Francisco

Have you seen the size of the new Emporio Armani ad campaign poster featuring David Beckham sporting the brand’s underwear that he unveiled personally earlier this week on the side of the Macy’s department store in San Francisco’s Union Square?

Becks is no doubt a big celebrity, well-known and much-admired for his brilliant soccer skills and movie star good looks, so I’ve grown accustomed to seeing his image often in magazines and on TV over the years. Truthfully, I’ve welcomed the ubiquity of these images so I’m thrilled to learn that later this summer this ad, as well as others in Armani’s ad campaign featuring Becks wearing the brand’s briefs, will appear in fashion, sports and lifestyle magazines and on billboards in major cities throughout the world.

These ads may well entice me to make a special trip to San Francisco’s Union Square to buy some men’s Armani underwear at Macy’s. I know I’ll definitely be buying the August edition of Vanity Fair where this ad campaign will make its print debut.
