Yesterday I was at Subway and was so disappointed that I couldn’t get tomatoes on my sandwich. It’s just not the same. As you probably know by now, there’s been a bit of a nationwide salmonella outbreak in tomatoes. They call it Salmonella SaintPaul. Sounds a little holy to me for a disease, but hey, what do I know?
First lettuce, then spinach, then tomatoes? Is this a NCBA (National Cattlemen’s Beef Association) conspiracy? I hope not. Anyhow, I came up with the perfect solution to this rotten tomato fiasco — grow your own!
This topsy-turvy upside-down tomato planter is fantastic. You don’t need a garden or backyard for it; you can simply hang it from your deck and watch it grow. It also grows cucumbers, peppers, and flowers too. I’m telling you, this thing will be the IT product of 2008. And it’s “green” too!
