A few days ago I went to see a late showing of the movie Role Models and saw a melange of gothically dressed and pajama-clad teenage girls sitting in a long line right outside of the theater. It was quite a site. They were waiting for the midnight screening of the vampire movie Twilight, which is based on the popular young adult vampire series by Stephenie Meyer.

Basically the story is about a young girl named Bella that moves to Washington and falls in love with vampire named Edward Cullen. Hmm…sounds like several other vampire movies/TV shows (ahem…True Blood) that are out there, but hey, this one’s targeted specifically to teenagers, so that’s new.

And why are teenage girls so crazy about it? Two words: Robert Pattinson. I had no idea who he was either, but apparently the girls are going bonkers over him.

So of course there are already tons of Twilight products, posters, a special Twilight Cullen Family Bracelet, and other memorabilia out there…so if you have teenage girls, or are one yourself, (or you’re just a fan of the movie, no need to be shy) then check out the latest Twilight stuff now.

I’m still debating whether or not to see the movie. You know, for research.
