There must be something in the water, or it’s America’s passion for keeping up with celebrities, but it seems like everyone I know is either pregnant or talking about having a baby. Since I’m a stepmom and not a a birth mom (yet), I can’t really partake in conversations about breastfeeding, or which diaper bag is the best investment. I do know a thing or two about decor, however, so I’m all over talking about my friends’ nurseries.
The great thing about kids’ rooms is that they don’t have to flow with the rest of your house. Use these rooms to experiment with color, pattern and texture. DwellStudio offers cute crib sets, curtains and accessories that help tie a room together in a flash. The company takes its chic prints and scales them down for baby.
Blik re-stickable wall graphics are a clever way to decorate without the fear or ruining your walls with wallpaper. You can swap out the graphics as your child’s interests change.
I’m also a fan of the Land of Nod, Crate & Barrel’s sister company for kids. They have cute paper lantern lights for just $12.95 that will give baby something bright to look at during the day and bathe the nursery in a soft glow at night.
