Well my girl once gave me a poem and it was the most amazing gift I've ever gotten. Granted she's a witter and the poem was nothing short of brilliant, but I still think it can translate to the nonprofessional. At its most bare it's a work of art made by a word smith; a craftswoman applying her craft. In a recession like this one I think we can all make something. Whatever it is we're good at, do it, and really craft something, put ourselves into it. I really think those are the best gifts of all.
