Is that? Could it be? Gwen Stefani wearing a loose, formless dress? Why, she almost looks…bohemian! Well, don’t let the hippie style fool you; that Cynthia Vincent maxi dress that she was sporting last year cost a cool $372, according to Fabsugar.
But maxi dresses (opposite of a mini dress in case you’re still pondering the name) certainly are a hot spring trend right now — they’re bright and colorful, easy to wear – and can be totally affordable. It’s like slipping on a nightgown and going out in public…if you’re into that sort of thing. Plus it seems all the celebrities are into them now — Gwen Stefani, the Olson Twins, several contestants on American Idol, and most importantly Sheree on the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Plus Nordstrom and Shopbop have some great designer maxi dress styles too. Pair them with a cute pair of heels and you’re ready for spring!
