Festive Flip-Flop Coasters
These Flip-Flop Coasters make a great hostess gift. The flip-flop was designed (as early as Egyptian times) to stay on the base of the foot but it works great with the base of a martini glass as well! Who knew? The sturdy straps keep your drink from tipping over as you saunter about a summer party and work as a perfect support when near by a slippery poolside.

And here’s a fun affordable summer project for the family!
1. Buy Cheap flips-flops! Old Navy has some great colorful ones only $2.50 if you buy two or more!
2. Go to your local craft store or dig in the closet and find fabric, feathers, beads, buttons, shells, or ribbon and start decorating! This craft is great as a gift or a party favor for summer birthdays.
Ribbon straps: Wrap ribbon, fabric or leather strips around the straps of your flip flops to personalize them and to add a cushion to your children’s feet against the hard irritating plastic. Just push out the plug, poke the ribbon through and glue in place!
Shells: Simply glue shells on the line of the straps using a low heat glue gun. Supervision required for little ones.
Flowers: Glue a large fake fabric flower at the spot where the straps connect or scatter smaller blossoms down the sides.
