As an antidote to lagging retail sales in the fashion industry, fashion legend and Vogue editor Anna Wintour has announced the very first Fashion’s Night Out in NYC September 10. She, along with designer Diane von Furstenberg will co-sponsor the event set to occur on September 10th in New York City and in 13 additional cities across the world. The event is inspired by Paris’ Nuit Blanche (White Night), where museums are open all night, free of charge.

Dozens of NYC stores and designers from Thakoon to Zara to Hugo Boss will be open until at least 11pm that evening, serving champagne, hors d’oeuvres, DJing music, and more. Ten Judith Ripka stores will offer a free of nail polish infused with diamond dust that evening as well.
