Just Cavalli Teal Dress sale $193

Over the weekend I went on a rare shopping spree of sorts to the Melrose Avenue shops in Los Angeles. By spree, of course, I mean 2-3 high quality pieces of clothing (we are going through a recession, after all). One of the first pieces of fabulousness that struck me was a gorgeous teal minidress. I remembered a fashion epiphany I had sometime about a year ago when looking at that season’s Pantone recommendations — teal looks good on EVERYONE. It just does. If you have red hair — smashing. Dark skin, pale skin — glorious. Something about the color is so vibrant and calming at the same time (perhaps its association with nature — a teal is a bird and the color teal blue evokes ocean imagery).

Either way, I definitely think anything teal will be popular for fall, and so I’m working on stockpiling a smattering of teal for my wardrobe. Here are some fun teal picks:
