With New Year’s just around the corner–and a slow week of recouping and hanging out at home–I’m all about getting organized, streamlining and starting out fresh. I’m giving my bathroom drawers, medicine cabinet and makeup bag a huge overhaul, and throwing out that cleanser and other random products I’ve had since ‘08. What’s on my list for 2010? A few of my favorite beauty items, that definitely won’t last through the year (maybe not even this month):
Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Serum: Kate Somerville is this amazing facialist in LA who’s client list includes the who’s who of Hollywood. Her philosophy is simple–healthy skin and ageless beauty–and her products are nothing short of amazing. This serum goes on slick, but hydrates beautifully, leaving radiant, lustrous skin in its wake. Use it before your moisturizer and or after; it works double duty as a primer for foundation too, smoothing out an uneven texture.
Clinique Youth Surge Night Age Decelerating Night Moisturizer: A brand new cream that builds on the Youth Surge franchise with its groundbreaking sirtuin technology. This overnight cream combines enzymes and proteins that help repair, restore and boost natural collagen production. By the morning, your skin will look plumper, more hydrated and youthfully radiant. What more could you want from a night’s sleep?
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Concealer: I’ve been using this all month and I love it. Not only does it conceal flaws, undereye circles and redness instantly, but it also stays put all day long–really, it does. It’s moisturizing and goes on easily with the attached wand, which means no extra brush, just use your ring finger to blend.
